Ten years of The Broken Drum

The Broken Drum in Woodman Parade first opened its doors in April 2015 and was one of the very earliest of the micro pubs in the Bexley borough. Since then there have been beers served, friendships made (including four-legged ones), cheeses eaten, meat raffled and quizzes won (and lost). Through all of that, money has been raised for charity and over 10 years this has reached £18k for the Alzheimer’s Society and British Heart Foundation – a fantastic legacy.

The Broken Drum closed its doors on 31st December 2025 and we wish Andy Wheeler all the best for his retirement.

But do not fear: the micro pub will reopen under new ownership in due course. 🍻
