The Oval Traders’ Summer Fair was held on Saturday 11 June 2011 at The Oval, Sidcup.

There were children’s rides, games and activities, a dog show, live music, tombola, plant stall, face-painting, portrait-painting and much more. I was also on a stall with a display of local history.

Held in aid of the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, it was packed with people and was a great success.

My display at Blackfen Library from 2 October to 6 November 2010, showing a selection of images from Blackfen’s Past and Present, was a great success. Many people showed an interest and got in touch with me about all aspects of Blackfen.

On 5 November, people were invited to come along to talk to me about Blackfen. It went very well and I was astounded at the number of people who turned up with interesting photographs, fascinating stories and snippets of information which would otherwise go unrecorded.
